I started my IT career at a small computer store in Pensacola Florida while still in college. After my wife and I were married and looking for opportunities, I accepted a position at a medium sized MSP and moved to Indiana. I stayed in the MSP world for almost 5 years and switched companies again where I transitioned into an engineering role working with Cisco equipment. After a few years of that I was recruited by a large regional VAR that exclusively sells and implements Cisco solutions. This is where my dream of obtaining my first CCIE began to take shape. I earned my CCNP security and began preparing to pitch to my employer my gameplan for passing the lab and asked if they would be willing to sponsor me. After some negotiations they agreed to sponsor me! Present day, I am diligently preparing for my second lab attempt in April of 2024.
Over the years, I've worked my way through several certification exams. I know how much time and preparation it takes to study for the lab and the psychological toll it takes on your mind and family.
